This live, instructor-led workshop in Bonn introduces the core concepts of BDD, explaining its definition and how companies utilize it to strengthen software design, development, and testing. The instruction is delivered from a non-engineering perspective, emphasizing end-users, their needs, language, and mindset. The course also addresses the communication challenges business stakeholders may encounter when collaborating closely with technically minded peers.
Upon completing this training, participants will be able to:
Write concise user stories that capture the usage patterns of actual software users.
Translate user stories into the behavioral language of BDD (Given, When, Then).
Generate test cases from these stories for engineer use in implementation and testing.
Understand the connection between product requirements, acceptance criteria, and test cases.
Demystify technical jargon that impedes communication and understanding.
Install and use effective tools for authoring BDD feature files.
Understand and value the processes that occur once work is transferred to engineers.
Take a more active role in the iterative development cycle.
