Superset Data Visualisation and Dashboard Consulting Requirement
A major financial services company sought to transition from a leading industry BI solution in one of its key products to an Open Source system (Superset), aiming to achieve significant savings in licence costs.
Deliverables NobleProg conducted several project meetings with the client to thoroughly understand the requirements, scope, risks, and technical environment. Based on these discussions, we developed a comprehensive Statement of Work to guide and track the project. Our lead consultant worked to align the existing data architecture with the reporting requirements for each report type. The NobleProg lead consultant recommended specific changes to the data stores to optimise the use of Superset, ensure optimal performance, and provided guidance to the team implementing these changes. After optimising the data store/data pipeline, our consultants began building and deploying a range of reports based on existing requirements as well as new requests from the business and customers. To present the data as requested, custom plug-ins were created to enable more interactive data presentation features (such as drill-downs).
Outcome The consultants have been developing new dashboards while ensuring that sufficient knowledge is embedded within the customer organisation to maintain these dashboards and reports. The project is currently ongoing and has been well received by both the customer business and their end clients. To underscore the project's success, it has been expanded and extended to include additional products and end clients.
